Boss database
Doormaker
Act 3 boss matchup tracker
Doormaker deserves a dedicated page because it is a high-search, high-friction boss where players need matchup-specific preparation.
Punishes narrow engines and fragile card flow
Flexible answers and backup damage plans
Preparation note
Doormaker-style bosses should be explained by what they punish, not just by raw difficulty. The guide should call out deck types that lose agency under the boss pattern: narrow engines, fragile draw plans, or decks that need too many turns before they can block and deal damage at the same time.

Run checklist
Before entering the fight, ask whether the deck has damage without its ideal engine, block without perfect draw, and a way to recover after a disrupted turn. If the answer depends on drawing one specific card on time, the deck is not ready enough.
- Bring a damage plan that still works when the main engine is late.
- Keep enough block density to survive a bad setup turn.
- Use potions as insurance for the first dangerous boss window.
How to use this page
Use the Doormaker page as a matchup audit before late-act rewards. If a card looks powerful but makes the deck slower against this fight, it may be a trap. If a relic improves bad-hand stability, it may be worth more than raw ceiling.
