Neow Relics

Opening-risk relic family and first-path check

Neow Relics is an opening-focused relic page for separating first-floor stability from ordinary mid-run relic power.

Primary keyword: slay the spire 2 neow relicsLow confidence
Tier stance

First route, first shop, first elite

Opening note

Neow relics should be ranked by what they do before the run has normal context. A relic that is excellent on floor one may be ordinary later, and a powerful late-game relic may be too slow if the first route is already dangerous. The page should judge opening stability before ceiling.

Slay the Spire 2 Neow relic tier footage
Neow relic footage should answer first-path stability, downside, and early route questions.
  • Score the relic by the first three fights before late-game ceiling.
  • Record whether the downside changes first-shop or first-elite choices.
  • Link high-risk starts into returning-player route guidance.

When to downgrade it

Downgrade a Neow relic when its upside appears too late for the chosen route or when the downside makes the first elite, first shop, or first boss preparation worse.

Opening risk table

Neow relics should be scored in an opening table before they enter a normal relic tier list. The table needs four columns: first three fights, first shop, first elite, and first boss. A relic that wins one column but loses two others should stay conditional.

  • First three fights: does it help before the deck has real support?
  • First shop: does the downside force removal, potion, or card spending?
  • First elite: does the relic improve the fight or make pathing worse?
  • First boss: does the relic create a real plan or only future value?

Character caveats

Opening relic value changes by character. Ironclad can absorb some HP pressure better than fragile setup decks. Silent may need early block or draw before a slow relic matters. Necrobinder, Regent, and Defect should downgrade starts that delay their safety turn or make the first elite less pathable.

FAQ

Are Neow relics ranked like normal relics?

No. They need an opening-risk layer because their value appears before the deck, map, and reward pool are fully known.

What makes a Neow relic good on floor one?

It is good when it improves the first route immediately, keeps the first shop flexible, and does not make the first elite or boss harder to prepare for.

When should I skip a high-ceiling Neow relic?

Skip or downgrade it when the downside makes early fights, shop planning, or elite pathing worse than the long-run upside is worth.
